The Marseille producer teams up once again with singer Andréa Durand for 'Don't Get On The Plane' - a sun-soaked, candid meditation on love and uncertainty
Kid Francescoli — Don't Get On The Plane feat. Andréa
French producer, songwriter and electro-pop architect Kid Francescoli unveils his new single 'Don't Get On The Plane', the final single before his forthcoming seventh album A Kind Wave, set for release on October 9th via All Night Long / Believe France. The LP will also be released as a limited-edition vinyl and CD, alongside the announcement of an extensive US tour next Spring, bringing Kid Francescoli's live show across North America next year.
Led by Andréa Durand's vocals, 'Don't Get On The Plane' blends electronic pop and cinematic synth-pop, pairing analog textures with organic synths. Exploring a moment where love meets uncertainty, it captures the tension between holding on and letting go. Intimate yet expansive, the song reflects the emotional warmth and atmospheric sound at the heart of A Kind Wave.
"The song puts a love interest to the test, confronting him with the reality of her character, the intensity of her desires as well as her vulnerabilities," explains Kid Francescoli. "He must face the instability and uncertainties of the moment, and make the most of every moment before, perhaps, it all comes to an end."
Arriving alongside a music video featuring Andréa roaming the streets of Paris - the sonically sun-soaked and vivid track offers an honest, candid take on love - tender in its imagery but unflinching in its emotional stakes. The single marks the latest chapter in Kid Francescoli's deepening creative partnership with Andréa Durand, who appears across five tracks on A Kind Wave, threading soft pop, R&B, soul and dance influences through his established electro aesthetic. Following 'City of Gold' with Nigerian singer Demigod, 'Don't Get On The Plane' continues to reveal the emotional breadth of an album built on movement, connection and renewal.
For over a decade, Kid Francescoli has crafted a deeply evocative musical universe where vintage synths, contemplative electronics and emotional songwriting collide. Emerging from Marseille's vibrant creative landscape, his sound has continuously evolved through releases including With Julia and Play Me Again, the latter featuring the global breakout track 'Moon', which gained over 160 million streams and later found worldwide success through TikTok, introducing his music to a new generation of listeners.
Now, with his seventh studio album A Kind Wave, Kid Francescoli enters a bold new chapter. Rooted in electro-pop yet reaching toward broader horizons, the record is an ode to movement, connection and renewal - inspired by travel, encounters and the euphoric feeling of life returning with the first days of summer in the South of France.
"What inspires me most in music is music itself... and the effect it has on people," explains Kid Francescoli. That philosophy flows throughout A Kind Wave - an album built on warmth, emotion and human connection, balancing dancefloor energy with cinematic intimacy.
Alongside the European run, Kid Francescoli has confirmed an extensive US tour for Spring 2027, bringing his cinematic live show across North America in support of A Kind Wave. The tour kicks off in Mexico City on March 21st before travelling through Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle and New York, and wrapping with a run of Canadian dates in Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City.
Kid Francescoli has also announced an extensive European headline tour for autumn 2026, bringing his immersive live show to audiences across the continent. Kicking off at London's Electric Brixton on October 14th, the tour will travel through Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona and Paris L'Olympia show - before concluding with a special hometown performance in Marseille on December 5th. Renowned for transforming his sun-drenched electro-pop into a deeply emotional and cinematic live experience, the shows promise to be among his most immersive yet.
